Looking for a last minute gift? Worried about delivery? We've checked out the delivery and eVoucher options on the websites of the main experience day merchants and here's our summary so you know where you are with this.
As last year, Red Letter Days are offering free courier delivery. To get this you need to enter the promotional code "COURIER" whan you place your order and you must select '1 Day Courier' as the delivery method. This makes the last date for ordering 3pm on Thursday 23rd.
For Virgin Experience Days, the last order date for delivery via 1st class post is 2pm Tuesday 21st december and the last order date for Special Delivery is 2pm Thursday 23rd December.
On the Activity Superstore website the details are similar with last order date for 1st class post of Tuesday 21st December and a last order date for Special Delivery of 3pm Thursday 23rd December. Note that they are also offering free Special Delivery on a range of experience days costing £50 or more.
If you've missed the last order date or you are in a snowbound area and don't trust that delivery will happen in time, then don't forget that most major suppliers offer the option of printing a certificate from their website that you can give to someone straight away.
Both Activity Superstore and Red Letter Days refer to this as printing an eVoucher while Virgin Experience Days call it a Temporary Gift Certificate. In all three cases you can get details on this from their websites and it is part of an option on the checkout procedure so you can't easily miss it.
Experience Days are the ideal Christmas Gift to give in this way, as it is effectively a deferred gift which someone receives when they make the booking and attend. All the companies have gone to a lot of effort to make these eVouchers as nice as possible and you can also printout the pages from their websites with details of the experience you have bought, so this is a great way to organise a Last Minute Christmas Gift, even as late as Christmas Eve or Christmas Day Morning, when it's far too late for delivery.
